It's astounding to be humbled by your own art. 10 years ago...wow. Yikes. One on hand, it shows how much I've improved in the last decade. On another, its a reminder of how far I still have to go. Best keep at it.

Got some sketching done today, did some redesigns of two of Spider-Man's biggest enemies, the Green Goblin and Dr. Octopus!

For Gobby, I really wanted to highlight the medieval fantasy vibes since I'm honestly sick to death of Marvel's recent takes on the character being more tech-based and steering further away from Steve Ditko's original design. Big inspiration came from the fantasy video games I grew up playing such as World of Warcraft and Runescape. For Doc Ock, I really liked the gender-swapped version from Into the Spider-Verse but I wondered what one with more classic elements would look like, and I'm rather pleased with the results. Plus she was just really fun to draw.
