a cut i still go back to with unkempt frequency is MJ Guider's Viñales, the b-side to her 2021 lathe cut 7". Her usage of electro cowbell/drum, dubby bass n' production, amongst heaping reverb was in brilliant usage to her voice. One which soared and crooned in a manner so hypnotic to the right ears

this was an extremely funny list to slap together because by the time i look at the back 11-20 I go "wait wasn't total blue and eric chenaux trio albums chillers? didn't fennesz and dj sprinkles drop last week? should i put an eris drew mix or autechre show?" but 20 is the cap

Been spending time with Arvo Part's 80s New Series works on tape.
Late 70s to ~84/85 non-repress ECM tapes are amongst some of the worst manufactured.
Total crapshoot on quality/j-card even if its mint (rip steve tibbetts and meredith monk tapes)
Amazed to pull it out today and it sounds flawless
