In the 1980s and 90s, Microsoft, IBM & Apple's central marketing strategy was 'SELL to schools'; students are naïve 'customers for life'. Is Big AI is using the same strategy 40 years on? 🤔

"AI represents an urgent catalyst for change. It does not just influence how student learning can be assessed, it also influences what is WORTH assessing and, consequently, what and how students learn."

"I think the danger is when one place becomes like another & everything becomes yours to possess- rather than admire.
Land has to have a life of its own, which you can desire, but not claim. And if that's the way it is, it often opens the gate, and welcomes you in."

'Masons are careful to test out the scaffolding; secure ladders, tighten joints.
When the job's done - walls of sure and solid stone.
So if, my dear, there sometimes seem to be Old bridges breaking between you and me, never fear. We may let the scaffolds fall. Confident that we have built our wall.'

♀️Reading Nicola Sturgeon's 'Frankly' I found myself asking, in every section was: 'Would this have happened to a man?' The unclouded focus she has for issues is still so impressive. ALL the betrayals & losses in one place is overwhelming. Alan Cumming said it best, 'How did it not break her?'🤔❤️
