Women's frees at #GPFinal, starting with Amber. I love this version of the costume. 3A looked soooo easy, as does the combo. She is just hitting everything, no issues until the last loop, which is probably under tbh. Not as emotionally connected as we've seen her be before. Lovely spiral.

And men's frees from #GPFigure, starting with Mikhail. Is this a new costume for this program? Issues with the opening combo and continuing to struggle with landings. His programs are really just about the jumps so when those aren't hitting it all feels pretty empty. Stiff knees. Spins yikes.

And now the #GPFinal women's shorts starting with Watanabe! I hate her plastic straps on her costume!! Bringing her usual drama and intensity. 3A landed! Wow getting the combo off, almost fell on the first jump. I do love that spin entry, she's really grown on me this season.

It's time for #GPFinal Day 2, pairs frees, starting with S-D/D: jump sequence was...not great Bob! They do not feel like they're bringing it today, performance isn't there. She steps out on the sbs jump, and off sync to boot. She two-foots the landing on the 1st throw, falls on the second. Yikes.

And the #GPFinal RD to finish off! Starting with Zingas/Kolesnik, for whom getting here is the real prize. I am always watching him when they skate, his posture is gorgeous. They are both bringing a lot of energy. It's fine?

Now the men's shorts at the #GPFinal! Daniel Grassl up first. Opening 4-3 looked reasonably solid for him. The loop looked under. I don't know what he thinks he's achieving with the performance but it's not what's actually happening. 3A clean. WHY overhead shots of the steps? Spins not awful?

Finally time to catch up with the #GPFinal, starting with the pairs shorts! Pavlova/Sviatchenko have a nice twist and land the throw and sbs jumps. The tech is all fine but this program doesn't so much for me and they are not strong performers.

Sooo late to #FinlandiaTrophy free dances but starting anyways with B/H. I do love that they're using R&J music from the Luhrmann movie. Looked labored getting into the straight line lift. I feel like the unexpected back to back assignments is showing, they're subdued.

Women's frees from #FinlandiaTrophy start with Valitalo. She's making a real effort to put a solid progam out there. I hope she takes this opportunity to compete and grows from here, the bones are there!

Men’s shorts from #FinlandiaTrophy and good on this almost 40 year old man for going for a quad. Jumps are messy. Everything else good! Even with the jump issues this was a great effort

Catching up with #FinlandiaTrophy pairs frees! I do love C/W's costumes for Riverdance. He falls on the sbs solo jumps. Badly off on the combination jumps, she didn't come out of the first with enough speed, followed by a step out on the first throw. They have cool tricks! She's trying to perform.

Ice dance at #FinlandiaTrophy starting with the Shib sibs. Still very slow but twizzles are money. If they had any speed this program would slap. They are much neater than they were on their last outing.

Somehow have time to watch at least some men! Starting out with Liam. Oh just use the original music. Almost eats it on the 3A. Lovely actual skating. 3F very pretty. Wow great work to get the combo off. Needs more performance through the face. Spins not great but not awful.
