Shameful.
How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.

Trump's "four dimensional chess" with people's lives.
Someone should go there and show them the clips of Trump's Great Gatsby party. I bet they'd be so happy to know he's having fun.
This is the food distribution line at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas 11/7/25. This is what Trump doesn't want you to see.

An expert articulation of the risks involved in the AI takeover of thinking work.
“And then you have librarians who are experiencing a real existential crisis because they are getting asked by their jobs to promote [AI] tools that produce more misinformation. It's the most, like, emperor-has-no-clothes-type situation that I have ever witnessed.” - Alison Macrina
AI Is Supercharging the War on Libraries, Education, and Human Knowledge
"Fascism and AI, whether or not they have the same goals, they sure are working to accelerate one another."

Psst! Hey, Senate Dems, now would be a great time to demand concessions from GOP leadership.

Don’t end the shutdown unless they fully fund ACA, reverse the shutdown firings, undo some of the DOGE cuts, and have a vote to release the Epstein files.

You have leverage after last night. Use it.
Trump declares that Republicans have lost the shutdown. Absolutely zero reason for Dems to cave at this point

EVERY election matters. This is bog for Georgia and may be a bellwether for other states.
CONFIRMED: Georgia Democrats have won their first statewide elections for non-federal offices since *2006.*

The two Dem challengers, Alicia Johnson and Peter Hubbard, have ousted two GOP Republican commissioners on the state's utility commission.

@peters.senate.gov @slotkin.senate.gov -- your leadership is needed NOW. Especially you, Gary. What do you have to lose? Will you stand for and give voice to the victims?
This is an excellent idea!!!

This is a super important but underreported dynamic of SNAP. It was the same with the direct $$ distributed for kids during the pandemic.
Reporter: SNAP is so stimulative to our economy. There are lots of rural stores where 60% of their sales are SNAP sales. So that rural store might have to shutter its doors. This is our collective struggle. All of us do better when people experiencing hunger do better. All of us lose when they don't

Good morning everyone. It's me again here to ask NYC residents to please send a letter to your City Council person in support of allocating 0.5% of the city expense budget to our local public libraries. Thank you. It will only take you 90 seconds. This time with the correct link:
City Council, we demand half a percent of the overall city budget for libraries!
In response to the NYC FY2026 Budget, adopted this June, the Brooklyn Public Library, the New York Public Library, and the Queens Public Library released a joint statement thanking City Leaders for in...

SNAP isn't about "people who don't work." It's about people who don't get paid enough to live.

Of the 40 or so million people who rely on food stamps:

* Two-thirds are children, seniors, or disabled

* Most working-age adults who receive SNAP are employed—but in jobs that pay poverty wages

THIS. Queue Bruce Horsby for irony and Steve Earle for action -- the revolution starts now.

Again @slotkin.senate.gov @peters.senate.gov Where the heck is the senate? This is far beyond political theater-- it is murder.

@slotkin.senate.gov @peters.senate.gov You both are on the Armed Services Committee -- what is the Senate doing about this blatantly illegal and shockingly unethical move?!

DoorDash, UberEats, Postmates, et al, are literally scams that deprive people of income; businesses and these "gig" workers suffer for overpriced convience. Stop using them. Period.
Guess it’s time to drop DoorDash too! They donated $1,000,000 to the Cuomo campaign. Leave it to corporations to try to undermine the public
