yesterday..as lousy as the pic is..they did come back through when I wasn't camera ready. They flew close and went their winter flight path...yay. Now I can really start clocking them. Of course when I do,I tend to get distracted and miss the time slot..smh🤣

a beautiful start and busy morning on the bird front.. this Cooper's Hawk came through on a hunt chasing Carolina Wrens, White Throated Sparrows, Dark Eyed Juncos and Chickadees..it stopped to inspect around the base of a Forsythia until it eye spied me!

I am surprised at the number of praying mantis slow creeping and basking in the sun. The photo was 1 of 2, it was a toss up! .. he is a piece of work. The others looked or didn't and continued on their way🤣
