One of the best throws Jalen’s made all season. Maybe the best, period.

An otherwise respectable ballot that’s stained by having the box checked named to the most wretched and undeserving candidate on the list. Not a single reason to vote for that for baseball performance, historical importance, or character.
Mailed my first HOF ballot today. In the future I will keep considering Buehrle, Pedroia, Hunter, Rollins, K-Rod and Wright (maybe Braun?). Once I decided to vote for Félix, I felt like I couldn't leave out Hamels. Very similar careers. Do what you do, @notmrtibbs.com.

Dying on the hill that those two guys are the ones the Jeff Kent induction snubs is very funny
I'd love for each member of that voting committee to stand in front of a camera and say, "why yes, I would've much rather had Jeff Kent's career than Dale Murphy or Don Mattingly's. Kent is who, if I were putting a team together, I'd rather have than Murphy or Mattingly."

More people on that committee voted for Carlos Delgado, Dale Murphy and Don Mattingly than for Barry fucking Bonds lmao
Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Gary Sheffield and Fernando Valenzuela receive less than 5 votes and won’t be eligible again until 2031

Back-to-back days of peak Bobposting
The Hall of Fame announcement is coming at 730 ET on the MLB Network where Don Mattingly is favored to be elected, and could be joined by at least one or two others.

Absolutely the funniest possible result

Hot take: 162 and 222 HR first basemen shouldn’t be in the Hall of Fane

They’re going to elect Mattingly and Murphy while simultaneously permanently banning the greatest baseball player ever from the Hall of Fame

Checking David Wright’s name and then leaving 3 open spots on your ballot when there are several players better than David Wright unchecked
Ballot #4 is from Adam Rubin. Seven holdovers earn his vote once again. No adds or drops for returning candidates and no first-year candidates selected. Beltrán remains a perfect 4/4

jesus
Ballot #5 is from a voter who wishes to remain anonymous. As a refresher, we are unable to report adds or drops, if any, on anonymous ballots.

This is the first ever known David Wright-only ballot. There will not be a unanimous inductee this year.

ERA unfortunately is probably only second behind WHIP as an indicator of how fun/tolerable a pitcher was to watch in a given season
putting value only on W/L and ERA, mostly.
December 2, 2025 at 1:27 AM
Sonny Gray essentially just had the same season that Bryan Woo did, with the ERA elevated because of what ended up being a very bad strand rate of 69%.
November 25, 2025 at 6:49 PM
Sonny Gray is a K/BB monster and is the exact type of pitcher the staff was desperately missing behind Crochet.

Probably a better campaign ad for the dems than any dem will come close to making themselves
Glad you know it too, mike.
Get ready for the end you fucking clowns.
November 5, 2025 at 5:52 PM
Very obvious they’re gonna end up doing something like electing the two least deserving candidates here (Mattingly and Murphy) and continue to make a farce out of the Hall of Fame
The Contemporary Baseball Era player ballot features eight candidates for consideration in the Hall of Fame Class of 2026.

Results will be announced at 7:30 p.m. ET on Dec. 7: ow.ly/Agwx50XlQRH
