This excuse is wearing thin. His whole tenure as Speaker has been saying “I didn’t see that”, “I haven’t watched the news”, “I don’t know anything about that”!etc. Why doesn’t anyone call him out on this? How can he effectively do his job being so totally unaware? What happened to real reporters?

These people need to be held accountable for their votes. The media never, ever, holds them accountable. If they’re being given airtime, they need to explain their votes and not just brush off the questions.
Jake Tapper has a long way to go to redeem himself after his book but this kind of thing helps somewhat.
