Sunday morning update with latest on some unsettled weather ahead for New Year’s Eve and Day which will be followed by a cold spell. A cloudy day today for most with patchy drizzle, tomorrow will be mix of cloud and sunny spells with showers in Northern areas.

Another cloudy day today but it’s all eyes on New Year’s Day weather models as risk of storm increases but the details still vary on models with position of storm varying. One model brings wind and rain while the other brings risk of snow. Either way cold will follow after!

While @ESBNetworks have restored power to 375,000 customers 20,000 still without power as of 5pm today. Today crews from their French counterparts Enedis arrived to assist. Irish crews helped them after Storm Ciaran last year resulted in 1.2 million French customer losing power.
