What we need now is leadership and courage. Lead your people, do not shy away from difficult decisions out of fear of right wing populists and their effect on the electorate. Fear has never been the right motivation in politics.

Het is maar goed dat vanuit Europa nog oog is voor het beschermen van de natuur en Nederland wordt aangesproken op halfbakken maatregelen.

Haar situatie is nu precairder dan nodig. Dat moet haar en haar college van Commissarissen aan het denken zetten.

Wat steekt is dat ze geen enkele moeite heeft gedaan om verantwoording af te leggen. Integendeel. Hier moeten we als Parlement een antwoord op vinden.
