Alrighty everyone—everything/anything I reach the credits screen on is getting a post in this thread. I’m hoping to clear out as much of my backlog as I can!
I’ve been on hold with @chargepointnet.bsky.social for over two hours trying to resolve a $100 hold on our debit cards from plugging in the car this morning & this has been such an insane experience—they’re a 24/7 support service, there’s no way they’re THIS backed up…

it's weird to me that Warner Brothers owns multiple game development studios and Marvel does not, and yet I have a cornucopia of Marvel video games and a dearth of D.C. Comics games

Back in the glorious old days, we had magazines. And the front cover would have a popular game on it. People would buy the mag for that, and then hear about all sorts of other stuff the journalists think you should know about. The mags were paid for by the readers... it was a solid model
yeah the harsh reality is that we do take a chance on small games no one's heard of a lot more often than anyone thinks we do. but literally no one reads the articles, which then reinforces to the powers that be that they're not worth doing. I don't know how to solve that problem!
I've been doing this all year but indie journalists have the same issues as indie games. Unless it's a big name, nobody cares.
