We lost this girl a little over 2 weeks ago and the grief is real and hard to get over. She slept on my head for the last 6 years and followed me everywhere. Her absence is so very real and heartbreaking. 💔miss you every day my Sophie girl!

So much to learn about #seabirds from our new home. While I miss the #birds that my 8 feeders attracted at our old yard(!), there is a whole new world outside my condo in #westseattle. Caught this blue heron enjoying his catch at low tide, and love the reflection in the water.

Hummingbird this am as the moon was still in the sky. West Seattle, WA. They, and many others are really hitting our feeder hard as the temps have cooled and the flowers of summer are gone.
