I fired the starting gun on Ipswich's culture bid today because I am ambitious for our town.

Speaking to Wayne Bavin on BBC Radio Suffolk, I said this celebration of Ipswich's talent will attract people to our town, who will then spend money in our shops, restaurants and pubs, boosting our economy.

Suffolk County Council wasting £1.9M on blatant political advertising when people are not getting care, bus services are cut and potholes are not being fixed.

The choice is clear: it is Bypass or bust.

We can drastically reduce congestion, protect jobs and investment, and modernise our road network.

Or will it be the same ‘do nothing’ approach?

I have made my choice.

It is time the Suffolk Conservatives made theirs.

I have written to Suffolk County Council to ensure they postpone all non-emergency works in Ipswich during the repairs to the Orwell Bridge.

This includes the planned schemes on Nacton Road, Woodbridge Road and the Hospital to Waterfront route.

We've all had our standards lowered by brain rot television and Nepo baby acting to a certain degree, but I do feel if you watch Adolescence and think it is bad TV there's little hope left for you.

Delighted to be part of a unanimous vote of Ipswich Borough Council in support of a three unitary option for Suffolk.

A mega Suffolk County Council outvoted 3-1 by Norfolk on a Mayoral Authority, is not what we need. Nor is the greater Ipswich area being carved up in a simplistic East/West split.

Well, I’m shocked. It turns out that Labour adding VAT to private school fees did *not* lead to an exodus to the state sector, despite the hysteria of critics. Who would have thought it?? Y’know, other than every normal person in the country. www.theguardian.com/education/20...
No exodus to state sector after VAT added to private school fees, say English councils
Most say they have seen no impact on applications for year 7 places, despite warnings from those against policy

At today's #PMQs, I urged the Prime Minister to back the builders in Ipswich, and make the Northern Bypass a project of national significance.

After years of being kicked into the long grass, I'm determined to finally get this crucial infrastructure scheme moving.

What Ipswich needs from its MP and Government. Well done Jack for proposing this.
Years of inertia regarding the Orwell Bridge and a Northern Bypass is hurting both Ipswich and Suffolk.

That's why I'm urging the Government to elevate it out of the local political quagmire, and give it the attention it deserves by designating it as nationally significant infrastructure.

Been asked a lot lately about how Labour should respond re: $$$ donations, a potential Musk x Farage combo, Reform threats to Labour seats…

My response has largely been “stay calm, focus on government, use their most plentiful resource: time”

Ipswich - and Suffolk - needs an alternative route to the Orwell Bridge or we will keep getting impacted.

Everyone needs to recognise that reality - and the consequences for our town and our county if this keeps getting kicked into the long grass.
