As a kid, I always thought somewhere like Kowloon couldn't possibly exist. Those cramped streets, derelict skyscrapers, all those demolished buildings... people actually lived there!

you know what I just want people to appreciate the occasional classy-as-fuck layouts that were in peak EGM
not to mention the GBC right there on the horizon when Pokemon launched- even those games' minimal use of color made the upgrade feel interesting and had a unique branding synergy with the "alternate color edition" release premise.
