Things I’m learning from making/editing a podcast.
2 - make your setup efficient. Currently I have a mic in one laptop, a camera recording by itself, another laptop recording a discord call and a tablet with episode info on. It works but is cumbersome and needs to improve.

1 - your mic can be relatively far away. It will still pick up your sound just fine, and you won’t get loads of heavy breathing caught on it which makes you sound like a pervert and requires loads of work in the edit.
