I'll just add, young frankenstein was classy. It was shot in black and white, for a start!

You preferred more high brow cinema as a young lad? 🤔 Spaceballs was great as a kid and I still chuckle at it. Blazing saddles even more so

We need to incentivise having kids. We had our son in the first parliament of the tories. Everything being slashed, crap wages etc. We stopped at 1. We've an ageing population and pensions and care cost. Not just the 2 child limit but incentivisng everyone to have more. That or accept immigration

I remember there being a plan on child poverty and a new govt trying to maintain discipline. Don't think they ever said it was a great idea
November 26, 2025 at 8:19 PM
People err. Id rather they could change their mind than double down
November 26, 2025 at 8:02 PM
It's ok to change your mind.

People slow off the mark. Only themselves to blame

The BBC needs a purge of enteyists. They made farage, Johnson et al. I love the idea of the institution but find it difficult to see the unbiased coverage.

I thought the speech decent and she dealt with heckling well. Highlighting that child poverty didn't upset them but that, realistically, small tax increases on assets did. Badenoch was woeful.

Nah, I look at the 14 years of misrule and fleecing. Crumbling schools, economy dragging, the truss/kwarteng event. Over that period, not one thing demonstrably improved for the masses. I agree with the sentiment of the OP.

"The will of the people" an example of what happens when we let extremists drive the bus. They take it straight off the bloody cliff.
November 24, 2025 at 6:24 PM
You've entirely missed the Christmas and new year period. I feel short changed. My dogs don't mind them bit it gets a bit boring for the individual
November 22, 2025 at 6:40 AM
We're not but the media, which are apparently left wing, cant help but give this drivel airtime along with reform and their unfounded nonsense
November 11, 2025 at 6:21 PM
From what I've heard, its him grandstanding as US networks bent the knee and if the BBC took it to court, he'd likely lose. Litigation has been the tool with which he's escaped consequence his entire life and made a few quid in the process

Yer, the huge monitors is most new dashboards where a small touchscreen for the stereo and sat nav were a few years ago, aren't distracting at all
November 11, 2025 at 9:01 AM
That penalty was ridiculous.
November 9, 2025 at 3:58 PM
I can't read the article and refuse to give my money to that shite wad that calls itself a paper. It's conjecture and that would be a remarkably short sighted change to make
November 8, 2025 at 9:47 AM
Can you afford to stuff 60k a year into a pension? Wish I could
November 8, 2025 at 9:22 AM
Not very stealthy if it'll be announced in the chamber.
November 8, 2025 at 7:39 AM
Nope. Put them on the shelves in order of thickness so the entire width of the shelf is filled with no gaps. Alphabetically, be damned.

Quality throw and quality finish
October 21, 2025 at 8:31 PM
What's depressing is that track records and scrutiny matter for everyone but Farage, to his supporters. Just apply the same standards and then accept you don't really care about standards, just the right to hate, openly and loudly
October 18, 2025 at 6:59 AM
To be fair, there are still people who miss the good natured fun of football matches in those days. I wont make any leaps in assuming where they may sit politically.
