Impressed by tenacity & watchfulness of this pair of Crows. They’re seeing off all comers as their babies fledge .. meanwhile the Kites are still circling - & waiting. As is the cat 🫣

After a bit of noise Crows settled down - then it kicked off even louder! I looked outside to see parents mobbing a stalking cat. Wish I’d been able to film it - it was serious! A bigger fledgling this time in the verge. Put that back in woods too but I feel there’s more drama to come.

Noise & drama in woodland as Red Kites harassing nest of Crows - 1st time they’ve nested in these woods. 2 fledged so far - one crash landed- so I took decision to move it back across road to cover of woods & whistled parents who were looking in wrong direction. They were on it! @bbcspringwatch 1/2
