Lunch break (stamp-sized) broadcast burn. We’ve had Sierra golden rods sprout in this area as a result of our entry burn a few years ago. Previously, it was mostly a small blackberry patch. Very good rx burn conditions at home. As weather, fire, and fuels conditions are horrible in SoCal :(

Took a break and burned off some black oak leaves near our house this afternoon. Good broadcast burning conditions right now by me (unlike SoCal :( ). I often find mushrooms when cutting containment lines. A Lactarius species.
