Creature Concept: Spine Wyrm A speculative evolution-inspired dragon creature. It has a spinosaurus-shaped head (for catching fish), a spinosaurus sail, and pebbly theropod scales. Rows of red, bulging veins run down its green neck and tail, and brighter red markings adorn its wings and tail tip. It upholds its body using its wings, which are tipped with 3-fingered hands. Its back feet are vestigial, flipper-like appendages that point backwards off its body. Its long neck is arched, drooping downwards in the middle, but curving up to support the head on the very end. The Roc is a massive eagle from middle eastern legend. They were said to be large enough to hunt elephants which is what this illustration is depicting: a solitary roc swoops down upon a stampeding elephant herd. The enormous talons of the bird are reaching for elephant at the head of the herd.
