I remember one job (not one of mine) where the roofers compressor wasn't working. The whole crew had to go home because nobody knew how to nail shingles with just a hammer and nails.

Distantly related thought - I remember back in the late 1980s when I was working construction and pneumatic nailers started replacing the 20 oz. framing hammer. Yes, houses were built faster. But the quality went down, significantly.

Related thought - I remember back in the "good" Twitter days, a lot of my tech-savvy friends were all "Yeah Disruption!" "Disruption is the only way to foster real change!" :Disrupt this, Disrupt that!"

Well, AI is here. You made it. And I believe you're all going to be disrupted out of a job.
