I'm not quite as rural as you, (bus ride is an hour & no stoplights, but we do have a gas station and a truck stop diner in "town"), It's presumed that everyone here is red, and because I look the part of a hillbilly, I am privy to hearing all sorts of political things from the other side.

Rural, Camo & Cowboy boots wearing lifelong Dem here. Living out in the country is like being in an alternate reality.
