Still masking and trying to make the world a better place.
I know this is very "first world problems" of me, but I really kind of hate that for my son's entire life I feel like I haven't gotten to just enjoy having my kids because there has always been a constant awful awareness of the seriously existential crises that we are facing.

without birthright citizenship in the united states, you don't have a democracy and you don't have rule of law.

revoking birthright citizenship gives fascists free rein to purge the country of literally anyone they don't like. it opens the door to atrocities and mass murder. i am not exaggerating.

Frankly, at this point I would consider the opposite of what the CDC advises as probably the right thing to do.

I hope some boat of immigrants finds Megyn Kelly shipwrecked. I hope they take her hand, and lift her on board, and look her in the eyes, and welcome her, and give her food and warmth

Because that’s what people should fucking do. Maybe it’d shift her perspective, but I stand by it either way

This country is so behind, it's laughable.

I'm curious what percentage of the American population has a criminal record. I'm seeing a lot of things about the immigrants being detained and what percentage have criminal records, and I'm just wondering how many average Americans do.

To offer another perspective, if you're a US citizen, you should fear all the things they're doing to US citizens. You should also fear the things they're doing to your noncitizen friends and family members. You should also fear the things they're doing to complete stranger noncitizens in your name.
“You’ve got nothing to fear if you’re an American citizen. If you’re not an American citizen, then look out,” Greg Bovino tells reporters while patrolling a neighborhood in Kenner today.

I feel like a lot of Trump's policy points could be summed up as, "A Black man was president and supported this, therefore I hate it."
