Don’t hold your breath. Being slightly less a terrible person than other UCP politicians is not going to get my support. You’d best be clear why you’re different if you separate. And if you don’t, you’re just another bad politician trying to oppress vulnerable people.

I can appreciate someone trying to change an org from within, holding out and pushing for change. It can be hard, but it’s an easier task inside than out unless you have outsized power. But once you’re out, you’d better be clear publicly about why if you intend to distance yourself.

Agreed on that point. The AB chapter of NDP is its own flavour, as is every provincial chapter of the major political parties. In fact, they are required to be firewalled from their federal counterparts. That said, people might equate the two which would hurt the brand appeal in AB.

I think there is more to it than just that. Albertans are a mostly conservative people, but we incorrectly equate that to mean we should vote for a political Conservative label. Decades of gaslighting and identity building has brainwashed us to think we are politically Conservative. Break that first

Of course it will be another committee. This is and always has been about putting taxpayer $ into the hands of cronies and grifters, not actually delivering the public services or interest.

All in due time. His party faithful needs to smell blood in the water before turning on him, leading him to his eventual walk in the snow. A few more serious political wounds should do the trick. Conservatives eat their own after all.
