On the bright side, it’s warm, and heavier than my scarves normally come out. The texture feels cool af and the colour ways blended exactly like I hoped they would.

Back on my weaving bullshit. This scarf took forever for me to complete, I loved the colours before I started but didn’t really like them once I got going. Reminded me of tie-dye? It’s not bad, I just didn’t love it so it’s just been waiting in the corner for me to gain some enthusiasm.

I saw a pair of these the last time I was at Zealandia and *knew* rationally I hadn’t seen Huia on account of them being extinct, but the person I spoke to kept insisting I must have seen a myner which has yellow eyes not orange cheeks. TWO YEARS LATER I’m learning what they actually were 😂
