River Suh made a searchable database of 200+ species with diverse gender and sexual phenomena, based on Joan Roughgarden's book Evolution's Rainbow. Teachers and learners can use this as a research tool or just marvel at the vastness of diversity. www.genderinclusivebiology.com/newsletter/e...

Two sexes? Not always! In some animals, 3 sexes make for a stable population. Hermaphrodite pink sea urchins were found to coexist and reproduce with females & males in a stable population. They may even fare better against stress from ocean warming. www.genderinclusivebiology.com/newsletter/s...
