The EHRC is meant to protect everyone’s rights. But internal documents reveal a different story: repeated meetings with anti-trans lobbyists, legal bias, and secret coordination. We filed the FOI. Here’s what we found.

FOI Exposes EHRC Bias: Private Meetings, Legal Echoes, and Policy Capture - Trans Advocacy and Complaints Collective
Let’s be honest. The Equality and Human Rights Commission is not acting like a neutral regulator. It is not standing above the fray.

This is a major step forward in protecting women from criminalisation for making decisions about their own pregnancies.

Tonia Antoniazzi MP’s amendment to the Criminal Justice Bill, supported by the BMA and BPAS, passed with a landslide majority of 242 votes.

This cruelty must end.

MPs from across parties are backing #SupportNC1 to the Crime and Policing Bill, a simple change that removes women from the criminal law while keeping all current abortion regulations in place.

At Gender Matters, we believe in every woman’s right to bodily autonomy, and that includes the right to a safe, legal abortion without fear or criminalisation.

Right now in England and Wales, abortion is still criminalised under a Victorian law from 1861. That’s unacceptable.

EHRC new consultation isn’t just about trans rights, it’s about all of us.

Cis women are already being challenged in toilets. Disabled people, ethnic groups, and gender non-conforming people are at most risk.

This will be impossible to police and expensive to enforce

Trans rights in UK law go back decades.

Since 1999, the Sex Discrimination Act has protected trans people based on gender, not legal or biological sex.

That principle lives on in the Equality Act 2010.

We fought for it, in court and in Parliament.

By defining “sex” in the Equality Act as “biological,” it ignored key case law, EHRC guidance, and even Parliament’s intent.

This isn’t just a reinterpretation. It’s a rollback.

We broke down what the Court left out.
