Happy New Year everyone. The boys and I headed into the central city last night and watched the Sky City fireworks, such a fun way to see the new year in!

Soooo, what have I been up to these last 9 months. Mostly, healing. The hardest year of my life was followed up by the 2nd hardest, but I'm almost at the 2 year mark, and I'm starting to get there. Mostly thanks to some amazing friends who have been there for the boys and I in so many ways

Our little guinea pig girls had their desexing ops yesterday and are recuperating in my room so I can keep an eye on them. Earlier, I freaked out because they had wet red patches under their mouths... until my son helpfully reminded me that I gave them a cherry tomato each with their dinner, oops! 😂

Oh hey fellow parents of teens/ previous parents of teens. My almost 14 year old has come home from school wanting to renegotiate his bedtime, because he's found out lots of his classmates stay up much later than he does. What time does your/ did your 14 year old go to bed? Thanks in advance!
