I grew up in rural Oregon, hearing about how “scary” Portland is. I took a winding road, visiting many times, finally making Portland my home 10 years ago. I’m downtown 5 days a week and the only war in Portland I guarantee has been manufactured in the minds of people who won’t ask or don’t listen.
