I watched this big bald struggling to hold on to the branch. Soon she gave up, just opened her wings and allowed the wind to lift her before flying off.

Plissken was released today and immediately investigated a little burrow hole I discovered. I put some coverage over it, but he decided to slink off discovering the dense grasses.

One of our naughty dogs dug him up the other day when it was freezing outside. My wife brought him in and gave him a little home until the weather got warmer and he could be released to find a burrow for winter.

Ring-necked Pheasant....

The Sandhill Cranes are migrating through southeast Minnesota right now. Around 75 were foraging in the corn and bean fields, filling up to continue their journey. They are my favourite bird cal of all. True dinosaur!

Female Peregrine falcon heading home. I have been observing this nest for two years now. This was 2024 and they produced 4 eyasses, three females and one male. I got to join the banding team and held the male as he was being checked over, weighed and banded.

Took a little detour after dropping off my recycling. Dropped into a place called Weaver boat landing. I've witnessed hundreds of pelicans at this spot plus numerous Bald eagles. Today, not much. Just a beautiful view and a wonderful monument.
