This take on the "all modern digital infrastructure" meme reminded me of something 🤔 https://ohai.social/@sushee/115587831612003303

Oh right, the long-term nuclear waste warning ideas of the landscape of thorns. Fitting enough for tech in 2025: "This place is […]

Made it back home, despite some delayed flights. And these two were obviously extremely happy to have their humans back. 🐶

Seen in Cusco today.

Climbed up and down Wayna Picchu today, and even found a few survey points to add to #openstreetmap along the way!

Finished the Inca trail this morning. Tomorrow we'll climb Wayna Pikchu - the mountain behind the Inca site - before heading back to Cusco for ending our trip. ❤️🇵🇪🦙

Today we came back to Cusco from a 5 day hike to Choquequirao. Thanks to @everydoor it was amazing to be able to do some nice offline surveying along the way (around 3400 meters ascended and descended and 50 km walked) despite the fact that there's virtually […]

Made it well to Cusco! 🦙🇵🇪

Between the 36h trip and the altitude, I couldn't really rest and decided to at least walk around the city a bit.

Every warning sign has a history behind it. I'm conflicted if I want to know the story of these ones at Orly airport.

«Vive la experiencia de mate» que exótica 😅🤣 Tal vez debería abrir una experiencia de baguette en Agua de Oro 🙈

Paris? I'm a big fan!
October 25, 2025 at 8:11 AM
All set for flying out to Paris today, to attend a conference on digital #commons in Strasbourg next week - and meet some friends and family before that. 🥐

Being a very clever girl, Ohana recognized that me packing my travel backpack means that I'll be gone […]

A family picture. Not sure if the dogs look at their mom or at all the pastries inside the bakery. 🍰 🥐

God, can someone please finally take #firefox out of the hands of #mozilla and their damn "AI" bros?

When they started adding all of this nonsense I went into my about:config to explicitly set "browser.ml.enable" to "false", but apparently even doesn't save […]

Ohana sometimes still pretends that she doesn't like her little adopted sister Nina. That's why she has this "caught in the act"-face in this photo. 😄

Also: went to the vet today, and Nina is recovering well from her little surgery. ❤️

Also used that chance to put some extra #antifa stickers on my machine 😅

Found a blast from the past. Must have been MozFest 2015 or 2016 when we made a small workshop about making a map of nerdy tourist locations 😅

Remember the stray dog that we adopted a few weeks ago, after park rangers cared for her in a natural reserve but without them being able to find anyone who would claim her as a lost/runaway dog?

Today we took her to be spayed. It was a short surgery, as the […]

Finally got around making a working before/after image of the area we worked with the participants during our combined remote & field mapping workshop in Río Cuarto!

It's so much fun to see these two goofballs - each with their very own personalities - slowly become friends.

One of my "favorite" UX fails: Country dropdowns that aren't sorted by the language that's currently used. 😆

Este fin de semana estamos en Luján por la encuentro de #openstreetmap Argentina. https://encuentro2025.openstreetmap.org.ar/

After yesterday's day at the workshop focused on remote mapping, today it's time for folks to learn how to go out and do some field mapping with @everydoor & ChatMap.

Last Sunday, the three of us went for a small hike in a natural reserve and came across a black dog that seemed to still be a puppy. The park rangers we talked to asked us if we'd be willing to take her in, as packs of wild dogs tend to become an issue for the […]

With all the books unpacked, I finally got to read through Kirsty Mackay's "The Magic Money Tree" about the ongoing cost-of-living crisis and poverty in the UK, and loved the prints that came with it.

As always, she does a great job in combining documentary […]
