I coauthored a review where my PI was both corresponding and first author. My name ended up last on the paper, likely because my contribution was limited. The paper is cited 800+ times. 🤷
I also have maybe 10+ papers where I am corresponding author but not last.
Good luck figuring out what's fair...

Here's my first MOF paper.💎
It was the first example of using a the premade Zr6 cluster, and we made fcu-MOFs (UiO-66 like) at room temperature.
I never stopped being amazed by #MOFs architecture since then and I definitely make nicer pictures too.

@crystengcomm.rsc.org, are the covers validated by a panel of elementary school experts in playdoh modelling and sandbox architecture?
Making a step aside full scientific accuracy for artistic purpose can be ok, but don't you see it went a bit far?
Clearly not serving the community's credibility.

I can’t blame that. Editorial world is so full of strict consistency rules that creative copy editing is probably the least of their concern.
