That's why I jokingly say that I'm a perfect programmer and I never write any bugs

My first advice to junior contributors is to STOP using vibe coding for PRs. OSS is always about people more than about code. We don't need more code generated by LLM, we need more people who care.

Being inconsistent personality-wise has never been a problem for me (yet) (I think) (as far as I can remember) (this is not legal advice) (just based on my personal experience) (might not work for you) (viewer discretion is advised)

Maybe Zohran Mamdani should go to a doctor. I'm sure election campaigns are stressful

Unfortunately, we live in the real world and nothing is as clear-cut or well-documented as that, so it really can vary between situations

If the function does not behave in the way that is documented, and a change brings it in line with the documentation, that is a patch.
November 3, 2025 at 1:16 PM
Changing that documented behaviour is a breaking change, as the user of the function may need to rewrite their code which depended on a specific piece of functionality. Changing anything which is not documented in the public API is an internal change, likely a minor version.

In a perfect world, every function would have a documented behaviour, which users of the function can rely on. Any other behaviour of the function is considered internal and cannot be relied on.

If they would just save £3 a week on coffee, they could pay for their university tuition fees in just 200 years!
