The specter of AI just highlights the division between good humans and bad humans for me, how much worse could AI be than the corrupt, callous humans we have elevated

You can track painter’s markets by when they decide to make a flower painting, by now many figurative painters have made one

Petty monarchs and their portraits…reminds me of Napoleon III ‘s portrait being rejected from the Salon in 1863, so he set up a Salons de Refusées and inadvertently created a space for Impressionism 🙃

Friend in the legal dept at major art institution said they are overwhelmed scrutinizing every aspect of what they do to make sure it doesn’t run afoul of Trump’s EOs and are trying to understand if granting maternity leave could be considered DEI

The closing of the Dept of Ed rhetoric is horrifying, any student who receives Federal financial aid, any student K-12 who receives any special education services, all Title 1 schools, 60% of NYC schools are Title 1, they want to get rid of the funding for all of it 🥺 who are we????

This is great! In the talk that I give about my work I mention that people have often asked me where the grossness or the shamelessness in my work comes from and I click to a slide of Trump’s retweet of his head on Rocky’s Balboa’s body. Like??It’s everywhere !! news.artnet.com/art-world-ar...

One of the weirder things I have in my ‘archive’ of random Art world stuff is napkins and swizzle sticks with the name ‘Candy’ on them from a small party I was invited to along with other Artists. A party given by Lisa Schiff to celebrate Candy Barasch’s bday 😭 www.nytimes.com/2025/02/18/a...
Art Adviser. Friend. Thief.
Lisa Schiff became the country’s leading art consultant, and drew her clients close. Then she stole millions from them. Now facing up to 20 years in prison, is she ready to repent?
