When Update 2.1 first came out, there was an "Unlock Layers" button in the editor that didn’t do anything.
RobTop had planned to add layer locking, but removed it before sending the update. It was brought back in 2.2.

In Updates 1.7-1.9, there was no level sending system inside of the game, so Geometry Dash Moderators had to send levels through a page on the Boomlings website.
"secret" was a unique password assigned to every Moderator, and it is what ensured the send went through.

On March 14th, 2025, RobTop set a level named "RatedLevelNoComments" as the daily level. The name held true for a while, until Rob removed the ability to delete comments on the level.

The map pack level Gravity Cycles has been updated no fewer than 9 times. The only known footage of the 1.7 version (thought to be the one originally put in the Magma Pack) comes from a shaky, handheld Italian YouTube video and a grainy image from a random GW Post.

Before profiles were added in 2.0, you were able to search for specific users' levels by searching for "u" + their user ID.

In 1.5, blue comment color was added for Rob.
It worked by checking if your user ID was 13 or 16 and if your username was RobTop. Since Rob used to change his name to Zhen often, this would result in his comments turning white.
In 2.0, the condition was changed to account ID 71.
