Trump and his cronies have the BBC in their sights. Leaders can’t stay silent while one of our great institutions is attacked.

We must defend its independence, end political appointments, and remove Robbie Gibb from the Board.

It’s appalling that under this Government millions of pounds are still being funnelled into Putin’s war chest through UK trade.

Putin must be punished for his barbaric war, not rewarded.
We @libdems.org.uk have a Bill to seize frozen Russian assets to support Ukraine. I urge all MPs to back it.

The BBC isn't perfect. But it remains an institution defending British values against a populist, Trump-style takeover.

Party leaders must unite to defend it.

I stand by the BBC - it's bound to make errors once in a while. It should apologise and we should move on, knowing we possess a treasure!

So far, only one political leader is prepared to mount an outspoken defence of the BBC
As part of its editorial independence, the appointment of the BBC's next editor-in-chief is meant to be entirely down to its own independent board - and out of the hands of ministers.

The family farm tax was flawed from the start, hurting real farmers while letting big investors off the hook.

In this Autumn Budget, the government must not turn a blind eye and should scrap this damaging and counterproductive tax.

Ukraine needs more support from Europe to win the war against Russia.

I asked the Foreign Secretary whether the Government would commit to seizing the £25 billion-worth of frozen Russian assets held in the UK to support Ukraine.

The occasionally resurfacing issues among the democratic parties have probably prolonged the victory path for resource and planning-related reasons, but it doesn’t diminish the resolve.
