📣Major Endorsement🚨
The Teamsters are part of the backbone of Missouri’s economy — truck drivers, warehouse workers, public employees, and more. I’m honored to have their trust and support, and I will fight every day to ensure they are respected, protected, and heard in Jefferson City.

I'm proud to have been raised in an area rich with diversity; to be aware and curious about our differences AND similarities, and to embrace both.

We are not born with hate in our hearts. It's heartbreaking and infuriating that a human would subscribe to such venom.

I would never support MORE gerrymandering.

If you aren't sure how your Missouri State Senators and Representatives feel about this, call or email to let them know how YOU feel about it.

Elections matter

As a pastor's kid, my early years were spent living literally a stone's throw from my church and to believe in separation of church & state

Folks campaigning from the pulpit should pay taxes... just like me, you, & everyone else - regardless of political persuasion.

Started the month by joining PROMO Missouri's Brunch of Champions - wonderful event, wonderful folks, and always an all around joyful moment.
plus - THIS! What a combo of pride and library appreciation!
Here's a small good thing you can do all month long.

Two, actually.

1. Like, share, and comment on any library post featuring Pride books or messaging that's positive. You can influence the algorithm for good.

2. Write a letter to your library board thanking the library for Pride displays.

THIS is why I'm running for Mo's 4th senate district.

EVERY Democrat in #MoSen must unequivocally support reproductive rights (& voting "yes" for HB126 - the bill that triggered the statewide ban after Dobbs - doesn't cut it)
Abortion rights supporters can try to challenge that ballot summary, but wouldn't you know it, a law passed this spring will make it incredibly difficult to change the text.

What's happening in Missouri is a brazen attempt to override the will of the people

I (& other Dems) filed #Medicaid expansion proposals, as did at least one GOP Rep.
But bc #MoLeg's GOP majority refused to move any expansion bill forward, MO ended up being 1 of 3 states with expansion in its constitution - with serious ramifications should federal Medicaid funding decrease.

Despite knowing the people on the search warrant weren't there, the ICE arrest team STILL took this family's phones, laptops, and life savings — and refused to leave a BUSINESS CARD so they could ask to get it back!

This stuff is sadly not unique to ICE; it happens with regular police raids too.

I got laid off today, with the rest of 18F.

18F was an elite federal software shop. We made gov't websites work better, more efficiently for the American people. We saved taxpayers from getting screwed over by contractors. And were fired for it.

We made this website to tell our story:

The role of an elected board (or legislator) is NOT to rubber stamp what is presented.
School board members (and all electeds) should be ENCOURAGED to ask questions to gain a full understanding of the mounds of info that can be presented.

Because MoLeg would not expand Medicaid itself (I was ranking member of a 2013 traveling committee & spent YEARS working on it), and because MoLeg has an awful history of overturning voters' will on statutory changes by initiative petition, Medicaid expansion is a constitutional requirement.

If this is accurate, it's so beyond bad faith & gamesmanship, its just plain old despicable.
