Inspired a talk I am going to give about the burden of heat illness and what we ICU providers can expect over the coming decades- severe heat stroke is ICU intensive

I would say history will judge poorly those in power who stood by and allowed this to happen but there may be no humans to look back on this

When my 100 lb goldendoodle, Oso (pictured), needs to go out in the middle of the night, which is admittedly rare
He sidles up to my bed, puts his chin on the mattress, and burps at me
This usually occurs within inches of my face
