There’s no such thing as too many books. Seeing great blue herons makes me happy.
They rushed the update and left a typo.

I vote for killdeer because on trips to our favorite beach we have seen killdeer being very protective parents— including the fake “damaged-wing” drag. Didn’t get a photo of that but did get a photo of a killdeer we saw closely monitoring three chicks.

Stressed out by the news (like me)? Enjoy our cat attending a Zoom.

My husband and I saw three adorable goslings on our walk tonight — and got magnificently hissed at by one of their parents as we tried to carefully pass them on the lake path.

Herons make me happy. And beavers. And owls. And frogs. Pretty much any creature we spot or hear at our favorite lake trail. Even the snakes, within reason (and at a respectable distance for the copperheads).

Our cat is sick and so am I, so we spent a peaceful afternoon together. I love the heart shape. Wishing you all strength and health for the week ahead!

Twice recently, when we have been walking at our favorite lake, we have seen beavers meet up from opposite directions, swirl around each other, and then head off their separate ways. Not sure of the purpose of the quick evening meet up/swim circle, but very fun to see.

Our cat Motor likes to drink from tub faucets. Motor darts into the bathroom just when you are trying to enter and use it. He demands you turn the water on for him first. This started because we noticed how much he liked catching faucet drips. So we began turning them on for him. And here we are.

Decided to join in the celebration. Appreciate how we all get our own little certificates. Bluesky now has over 10 million users, and I was #1,420,378!
