Maybe I can surprise u. Let's try it sometime. Being entranced is not necesarily beeing blank, but being less analytical and more connected to the subconscious mind. You might not sketch good images but you will sketch deep ideas or sensations that u will have to figure out once back and awake.

I did not know there was a painting of the comic itself. Been a huge fan of Zack (Oliver Frey) work since I was a teen.

And, have u ever been hypnotized while drawing or sketching? Have u ever tried that? hehehe, I am curious about how whould that feel on your side.
