With everything happening in the US right now, how safe are scientific conferences for foreign participants in the US? I think this is something we have to discuss as a scientific community. I am hesitating to register for US meetings due to the unpredictable situation. Others who feel the same?

A two-sentence memo from the Office of Management Budget canceled a previous memo issued two days before that had directed federal agencies to “temporarily pause all activities related to obligations or disbursement of all federal financial assistance.”

The Office of Management and Budget has rescinded its call for a pause on federal assistance, according to the agency's memo shared by Democracy Forward, which led a legal challenge over the effort.
Trump rescinds freeze on federal funding
