What is going on in the US doesn't stress me out as much as the lack of strong response from common folk does...I remember even in the 80s and 90s young people were more politically active and part of it was helped by MTV. Now they have enough dopamine to wash over daily I guess...

I find it interesting that I am FAR more critical of movies and TV shows than I am of games, and if indie games do "movie like" intros (like those drawn out, hey we are going on a trip sequences) I start switching to that side of expectation.

I don't like stealthing around in games but Indiana Jones is pretty amazing from a level design standpoint and when push comes to shove you can punch a million fascists in a row, the exploration tightness and moments of surprise verticality reminds me of the Souls games

Acquiring Bluesky would be a killer deal for Discord because they would not only get a proper ads business opportunity they would also have an angle to work against that other social can't compete with: events, watch parties, tight gaming integrations... then again I can't find Jason Citron on here

Reddit is annoying me lately, I regularly see huge amounts of misinformation, toxicity and hate speech...I might have to try to cut it out of my habits in 2025 (along with Resetera, which I depend on too much for gaming news for how much some thread titles trigger me). Discord should make a timeline

Weird how you can spend one day out in the cold weather and then suddenly between one gulp and the next it feels like you have a cold coming on, like imagine the drama happening inside your body for such a massive change to happen so suddenly

I have a project planning sheet with 7 wildly different projects, almost all of them are behind schedule heading into the end of the year. The thing is I am stubborn and some of these have been dragged along for more than 10 years now. One of them would be of course to release my first indie game.

Having multiple Bluesky accounts is interesting because you can see the overlap/delta in the Discover feed. it seems like whatever algorithm they are using doesn't have the ability to hone in on recent interactions or user level personalization, which is where you can really get true relevancy...

I freed up enough space to install Indiana Jones (or so I thought) and another message came up saying to install this update the Xbox needs another 263GB of free space" or something similar holy crap LOL - I am sure it is a bug...hopefully....

Lately been buying some potted plants which are turning out to be harder to care for than expected...somehow overwatered the Monstera (what a cool name for a plant) and it got sick almost immediately. Hopefully the poinsettia just got yesterday will hang in there until next year.

Made it to the Odan "The Host" episode in my ST TNG re-watch, boy that is a weird one would have been nice if they didn't fumble that ending as much as it was in hindsight. Although cheeky Riker acting is always fun to watch. Going to jump straight into DS9 when I am done with this.

Are people still putting content on Fandom themselves or is this company paying people to do it??? I just found a case where it has synopsis for TV show episodes before Wikipedia. Discord could solve this if they had some sort of community strategy and let discord owners own ad-free Wiki sites...

I am doing my part and going to hire an artist to do something for me instead of fumbling around trying to do it myself (although I still stubbornly want to try to do it myself...my paltry Inkscape skills are saying otherwise)

I just realized I have been seeing Japanese streamers on Twitch play more foreign made indie games due to Steam...for TV/movies, Japan still only has like 0.01% of Western content for obvious reasons (cost, language, rights)
