A new report shows Iowa’s economy shrank in the first quarter of 2025, the second worst rate in the nation.

“The report from the U.S. Commerce Department shows Iowa’s economy shrank 6.1% compared to the last quarter of 2024. Only Nebraska had a worse rate. (KCRG-TV)

According to the New York Times, “armed National Guard troops mobilized by President Trump initially tasked with guarding federal building “accompanied federal immigration enforcement officers on raids in Los Angeles on Tuesday.”

Sending military troops for protecting buildings was a pretext.
