Noticed the Lime Avenue and Calves Croft at Lyme are finally open again, directly behind the gardens. Seemed to be closed for ages recently or I was just unlucky.
Highly recommend breaking a bike ride to see more of this stunning, peaceful landscape on foot. Use those bike stands!
