Water retention can definitely be a factor and take a while to drop. Try drinking a ridiculous amount of water and wearing compression socks when you travel (if you haven’t tried that already).

The power of right plant, right place! I love growing most of these because it generally doesn’t rain at all during the summer in pdx and these guys just thrive with no care.

I just want people to stop showing how nice it is here. If they send troops here to see how nice it is in person, then our tough housing market is just going to get worse as people move here in droves!

I believe you may need to change your definition of a modern TV. We got an LG C4 a while ago and it was a revelation.

This is not penstemon pinifolius. It looks like Penstemon ‘Enor’ or ‘Gilchrist.’ I have both and the pinifolius is much more drought tolerant if you’re in to that :)
