Incredible innovations are radically transforming how we protect individuals and communities from HIV. But they only work if they’re accessible to those who need them. www.globalaidspolicy.org/preventionsaveslives #HIVPrevention #EndAIDS

The Global Fund partnership is fighting the deadliest infectious diseases in the most crisis-affected parts of the world. Together, we have saved 70 million lives. But there is still more work to do. HIV, TB and malaria have threatened humanity for too long.

The global HIV response is at a crisis point—we cannot afford to step down.

Countries must sustain HIV services and increase national HIV budgets. Donor countries must support a smooth transition from aid dependency to sustainable independence.

Lawmakers allocated $6 billion this fiscal year for PEPFAR, the H.I.V. prevention and treatment program, but the administration has indicated it will release less than half of that: ow.ly/cqTb50WKsMS

26.9 million lives have been saved thanks to HIV treatment since the start of the epidemic.

We have the tools and know what works.

Now, countries must stay committed and global support must continue—to keep saving lives.

Though we are pleased to see PEPFAR removed from the rescissions package, its passage sets a dangerous precedent, signaling that future administrations could unilaterally disregard Congressionally approved funding.

Cutting $900 million from global health programs—including $400 mil from #PEPFAR— undermines US leadership in international health & security efforts, puts lives at risk, and damages America’s standing, influence, & security interests. Congress must reject the administration's #rescissions package.

Thank you, Senator McConnell, for your leadership at last week's Senate Appropriations Committee hearing on the rescissions package. #PEPFAR saves lives and strengthens America's soft power; it requires protection, not cuts.

PEPFAR has supported 13 million+ orphans & vulnerable children (OVC) through HIV testing, caregiver support, & services that reduce their risk of abuse. These protections are now at risk: ow.ly/VQGr50W6UWp

Join us in urging Congress to preserve #PEPFAR & make the 10% OVC set-aside permanent.

Over the past 20 years, PEPFAR has connected over 7.1 million orphans, vulnerable children & their caregivers w/ critical care & support services. The Administration's FY26 Budget Proposal & rescissions package put these services at risk. We must #ProtectPEPFAR. globalaidspolicy.org/protectpepfar/

As Sec. of State Rubio (then a senator) once said of #PEPFAR, “The dividends it pays from a human element are extraordinary, and you need to look no further than Africa, where millions of people are alive because the United States pays for their antiviral medication.”

Let's set the record straight: PEPFAR dramatically reduces the risk of men acquiring HIV. Voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC) is one of the most cost-effective ways to reduce transmission from women to men, and PEPFAR is its largest funder. #ProtectPEPFAR globalaidspolicy.org/protectpepfar/
