This one is also a no brained for me as it is The Legend of Zelda! It was the first series I really got into and it all started with OoT! I've played close to every single Zelda game and greatly enjoyed them all 🩵

Gallica from Metaphor. Didn't even have to think on this one though Midna is a close 2nd. Gallica is literally ride or die for you the entire game and is super supportive always being there for you. And look at her combat outfit 🥰

I don't remember my first pre-order so I'll talk about my first midnight release. It was for Halo Reach and it was a great time. A few friends and I all went the GameStop we went to had a setup outside for us to play Halo 3 till release!

Not exactly a quote but Big Boss believing in Santa...and afraid of Dracula. Hey #Konami, can we get a Castlevania game with Snake as a secret character overcoming his fear of Dracula? I'd buy that on purpose.

Any game that has "vanity slots". First games that come to mind are FFXIV and DCUO. Customizing the physical aspects of my character is great but having any armor I want but still have good stars will always be 10/10 to me!

As much as I love KOTOR 1&2, the fight with Darth Nihilus was pretty underwhelming. It doesn't help that I tend to do everything I can in those games and over level but most of the other bosses put up a fight but they really didn't

Not sure if it's a mechanic, but I loved the system of the Mario & Luigi games. The Bros learn moves in the overworkd that they incorporate into combat and using those moves more they improvised new ones! Not done much now but near back then

Any timing based Mini Game. What I mean is like in the new Mario & Luigi there's a jump rope mini game. In those there always comes a point where it's going fast and you have a rhythm and then one misinput you have to start all over 😑

Not really a cinematic but the one Codec call where Snake gives his speech about him not being a hero and never will be. That or Strohls Awakening speech in Metaphor, seriously go play that game if you haven't!

I have to give it to Persona 5 when Akechi turned on the group and is the entire reason the Protag ended up getting caught and arrested again. I fully didn't see it coming and didn't notice the small details that lead to him being found out as a spy.

This is going to be a hot take because it just won GOTY but Astrobot. I think it's a great game, and it looks like a ton of fun. I'm not saying it's a bad game, but with games like Wukong and Metaphor, BG3 from last year, it just falls way short imo

Day 14: Favorite Class or Fighting Style
Anything to do with fighting with just fists, or more specifically, grappling. I love going to Suplex City and beating the snot out of people with just your bare fists even when they weapons!

Hard to say since most games today have phenomenal VAs. Best one I can come up with is MGS4. That game had so much emotion going on and it felt like the VAs were giving it their all and David Hayter's Snake is always a solid performance!
