In Eurogamer's review of Air Riders, they linked Road Trip mode's branching paths favorably to Outrun (and roguelikes obviously). Also considering the Space Harrier inspiration for Kid Icarus Uprising, warms my heart to see a throughline from Yu Suzuki's arcade games into Sakurai's console design.

Having some mixed feelings about this phase of The Gorillaz being their "discovering ourselves in India" arc, but I can't deny I love the vintage photograph mixed-media approach. The iconography is exquisite.
