I'm still working on some basic enemies, such as the original koopa (these will be replaced with original enemies later). I appreciate platformers more now because it's a lot just to do basic things. #gameboy #gbstudio #indie #indiedev

This is my progress so far with Legendary Lorenzo Land. The Mario assets are placeholders for now. I have it so you can take damage, stomp on an enemy, and lose your power up status. Enemies also will just walk off a cliff for now. #gameboy #gbstudio #indie #indiedev

I got the currency system up and running. Each game will cost a different amount, and subtract that number from your total earned money. Legendary Lorenzo Land is supposed to be the most accessible one, so I only made it a dollar. #gameboy #gbstudio #indie #indiedev #retro #gbc

Happy #screenshotsaturday! We're working on a post jam version of GRIME TIME, and that means we're adding an Arcade mode where you can spend the money you earn in game to buy lives for other games. One is going to be called "Legendary Lorenzo Land." Ignore the placeholder music and Mario sprite lol.

I added a "combo cleanup" system where you can combine cleaning actions to do more damage in battle. Next is adding an elemental weakness system. #gbjam #gbstudio #gameboy

I managed to get the time system working! Now the clock in the top left will show slices missing for each 5 minutes that passes, up until the 30 minute deadline. You can still check the time elapsed by pressing "Select" too. #gameboy #gbstudio #gbjam #pixelart #retro #indie #indiedev

Still working on getting this time system right. In the meantime, we managed to get the design of the main character done. We decided this character was gonna be named "Zack Scrubbs" and the game's full name would be "Zack Scrubbs in Grime Time." #gbjam #gameboy #pixelart #gbstudio

The team and I have decided to name the game "Grime Time" and have added a countdown timer. The goal is to clean your room before 30 minutes are up. I'm using the RTC to time it so it's actually 30 irl minutes. The visual timer at the top is still a WIP though. #gameboy #gbstudio #gbjam #pixelart

Been working hard on Leopold Dates a God lately. I added a world map you can scroll to pick who to talk to. Eventually, you'll be able to travel between maps to meet more characters.
