Forgiving myself in this context has gone from being this large symbolic act to something that I do the second I notice I am caught in open loops and infinite replays that are making me ineffective.

As a side note, I've found it easier to deal with my ADHD when I realize it isn't something to be solved or even fixed, but rather a way of perceiving and interacting with the world with its own benefits and tradeoffs. One of the tradeoffs is the need to reset and clear my brain to take action.

The other thing to note is that you will havr to do this *a lot*. This isn't a grand reset that clears you for the rest of your life. Self-forgiveness is a tool, a loving but functional act for resetting and acting.

It has nothing to do with "letting yourself off the hook" and everything to do with resetting your mindset and creating space to take the next steps for resolving your situation.

As you endlessly replay or mentally rehearse situations that are likely not going to happen or have already happened, you create a stage for inaction that pre-exhausts you.

Forgiving yourself is the first step at creating a stage for *action*.

I've been realizing that a lot of why I can't do things is that I get stuck in infinite replay (going over the past situation) or infinite rehearsal (going over endless play of a potential future event). They seem like youre doing something, but you arent.

"I *should* be able to remember that..."

"Why can't i make myself do that thing i hate consistently? Other ppl can.."

It goes on and on.

That self talk becomes what ive been calling "infinite replay", looping in your brain and keeping you locked down.

It writes itself!

00-Steel, Superman in the role of a spy, using gadgets to justify and disguise his true identity as a superhuman son of Krypton.

Others have mentioned it but clearly there is 00-Who, spending time as a spy to unearth a long-term secret plot from ancient enemies...

But also... I love the notion of a 007 multiverse. How amazing would this mashup be?

00-Logan:

"I'm the best at what I do...and what I do is shaken, not stirred."

What cracks me up is that this is in a genre and franchise where no one gives a fuck!

All the impossible shit 007 does, but NOW ppl are going to revolt that he didn't die this one time?

Weird.
