Doing a watch along from the beginning of Nitro and if you take out the Hogan stuff, there's some decent to good stuff there that still holds up well. In another world, WCW should have just signed Savage and built up Dustin, Austin, Pillman and others, but I get why they got Hogan.

A "centrist" I know made the same theory as MSNBC and even went so far as to agree with that stance and I'm like "so you're ok with risking people's health to salvage public image, that's cowardly shit" and I still stand by my stance.

Blake Christian was practically a fixture everywhere that had a streaming service and top guy in GCW, ate losses in AEW/ROH, kept at it, found his footing with the Vanilla Baby stuff and got even more opportunities to showcase himself in both ROH and AEW.

I don't know why people are acting like Maya and Hyan were supposed to go 10-15 against an established team heading into their tournament match. I was just happy to see both of them on TV. Miranda and Nixon pulling that nonsense is goofy.

Fans won't be familiar with their work bc the onus would be on Hyan to keep putting in the work to get eyes on her as it should be.

There's always been a ton of talented people used as enhancement for television purposes (Danielson, Chris Daniels, Blake Christian, etc) but has it affected their bookings or showings outside of that? Does that two minute loss mean that they'll never be used again? It's also ridiculous to claim

If the match is going to be a showcase for the team in the tournament, are you expecting a hot tag from the other team? Again, they got something in, which is better than getting nothing but I'm not expecting them to hit signature moves or get the Ricky Morton treatment.

Most "squash" matches in AEW still allow the folks losing to get a bit of offense in, so I don't know why they would act like they're going up against the Road Warriors.
